Learn a brief and effective protocol for Early Intervention
All EMDR therapists need to be skilled in providing Early Intervention protocols. While basic training provides an introduction, it does not cover the important considerations that distinguish EMDR provided soon after a traumatic experience, or when the trauma episode is ongoing. This one-day training will equip you to use the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) with individuals soon after a traumatic experience. It is a flexible and targeted approach, described as the missing link between Francine Shapiro’s Recent Events and the Standard Protocol.
“We may not be able to prevent trauma, but we can prevent the accumulation of trauma memories…” Elan Shapiro
As the demand for services outstrips our capacity to respond, R-TEP allows us to intervene briefly and effectively, providing EMDR to more people sooner.
- Research shows R-TEP can significantly reduce symptoms of traumatic stress and depression in as little as 2-3 sessions.
- Highly suited for climate disasters, accidents, workplace trauma, physical and sexual violence.
- Process recent episodes without processing previous trauma.
- Learn strategies for containment and efficient processing
What does the workshop cover?
