Learn a brief and effective protocol for Early Intervention
This one-day training will equip you to use the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) with individuals soon after a traumatic experience. It is a flexible and targeted approach, described as the missing link between Francine Shapiro’s Recent Events and the Standard Protocol.
EMDR early intervention can prevent suffering and promote healing in a timely way.
“We may not be able to prevent trauma, but we can prevent the accumulation of trauma memories…” Elan Shapiro
As the demand for services outstrips our capacity to respond, R-TEP allows us to intervene briefly and effectively, providing EMDR to more people sooner.
- Research has demonstrated the effectiveness of R-TEP in reducing symptoms of traumatic stress and depression in as little as 2-3 sessions.
- Able to be used in common situations of trauma, such as climate disasters, accidents, workplace trauma, physical and sexual violence.
- Process recent episodes without processing previous trauma.
- Learn strategies for containment and identifying targets for processing
What does the workshop cover?
