Why should you attend the workshop?
There is a growing recognition of the valuable insights and the challenges that arise when we embrace the complexities of a multicultural world. This involves being sensitive to and understanding the diverse experiences related to cultural and social-identity dynamics. It is more important than ever that we identify effective ways to address our personal challenges and those of our clients, while fostering connection among people.
This unique collaboration incorporates Mark’s work in the area of social identity growth and understanding, with Reg’s work to expand the capacity of EMDR group protocols. This experiential workshop series provides an opportunity to explore these important issues related to culturally based trauma and adversity both conceptually and practically.
In this series you will:
- Build your conceptual and therapeutic skills with CBTA
- Explore your own personal/professional culturally-related ‘work’
- Experience the features and benefits of two group protocols (G-REP & G-TEP)
- Contribute to research around CBTA-focussed interventions
The workshops will be meaningful for you professionally and personally. The experiential components of the group protocols ensure complete privacy, allowing for deeper personal exploration.
Participants are also invited to contribute confidentially to data collection which will be de-identified and assist in evaluation of the intervention and its effectiveness.
