Comprehensive Level 1 Training

8:45 AM- 5:00 PM Daily

The training consists of 2 parts – one day preparation and 2 days live training

Part A: Pre-Workshop Preparation

• 8 hours compulsory preparation completed online prior to the training
• The learning modules consist of recorded lectures and reading material covering important conceptual foundations
• These are completed through our online learning system, at your own pace and in your own time.

A link to the online material will be sent 3 weeks prior to the live training and must be completed at least 48 hours before the live workshop.

Part B: Live Workshop and Practicum

• 2 days of experiential learning and practice.
• The focus is on building skills to enable you to safely provide EMDR to your clients.
• Participants work in small groups to practice giving and receiving EMDR under supervision.

Required textbook: Participants must have access to a copy of the required text. Shapiro, F. (2018) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: Basic Principles, Protocols, and Procedures (3rd Edition), Guilford Press: New York.
